Christopher N. Rabon
Director, FOCUS Program
With 17 years of educational experience, Rabon began his career teaching English at Swansea High School in 1999, where a few years later, his peers chose him to be their Teacher of the Year.
Rabon joined Lexington One in 2003 as an English teacher at Lexington High School. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of administrative assistant. In 2007, he was promoted to the position of assistant principal at Lexington High School where he remained until his promotion to Director of FOCUS in 2015.
Rabon served as a district hearing officer for three years and is a certified ADEPT Mentor and SAFE-T evaluator. He is also Crisis Prevention Intervention certified. Rabon has served as a High Schools That Work Technical Assistance Visit Team Member and an AdvancED School Accreditation Quality Assurance Review Team Member.
Rabon holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. He also holds certifications as secondary principal, secondary supervisor and English teacher. Rabon is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
